The Head of Digital Product Development leads a multi-disciplinary team that creates visitor-facing digital products for the British Museum, with a focus on product management, content strategy, user experience design and technology.

This is an exciting time to join the Digital and Publishing department at the Museum, as we have recently launched our new Digital Strategy, which is designed to increase the Museum’s reach, build a data-centric relationship with our audience, and develop new revenue streams.

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level, or equivalent, in engineering or business and will possess a project management qualification. With significant experience in product/project management and a strong understanding of user-centred design and research methodologies, you will also have experience of data analysis for digital products.

We are seeking an individual with experience of managing a team of 10-15 people and who is deeply familiar with the full life cycle of digital products. You will be a capable project manager, skilled in stakeholder management and excellent planner with the ability to coordinate the efforts of internal staff and external partners to deliver on tight deadlines. Previous experience in a museum is desirable.
